Setting the intention to heal the source of imbalance, quickly created a series of striking synchronicities that
led me to the first healers and teachers who helped me to enrich and empower my life. Alternative therapies helped
me address old trauma, self-limiting beliefs, and patterns of negativity residing in the mental, emotional and
spiritual levels of my being. I came to understand that I was more than a physical body and that the alternative
therapies I was discovering could help restore balance to my energetic being on every level. In time, the healing
work not only supported a return to vibrant health by clearing the source of dysfunction and liberating my body’s
own healing intelligence, it assisted the opening of my intuitive faculty, my own gifts as a healer and ultimately
served to raise my consciousness.
My journey also led to many connections in the alternative health and healing community. As I came to know more
therapists I became aware that the sacred relationship of trust between the client and the healer was essential to
the healing process. I felt respected and safe with my healers – enough to relax and "let go". I noticed that they
encouraged me to be real and never judged me regarding any negativity or fear I was experiencing. As I learned the
importance of finding a therapist with whom I was able to connect and feel comfortable, I began to wonder how I
could help facilitate this process for other people in my community.
Soon after this realization, one of my teachers asked me if I would be interested in doing some volunteer work to raise
funds for a charity she was involved in. She suggested organizing a Healing Fair. I felt a part of me come alive as
I recognized this to be the opportunity I had been seeking. The rest is history and I would like to say thank you here
and now to the many beautiful souls who have helped me develop the Fair and keep it going over the years. Our first
Fair was considered a success, drawing a crowd of approximately 50 visitors.
We now have in excess of 500 visitors attending this annual event.
The name Cosmic Pathways formed in my mind while planning the first Healing Fair. I felt there was some significance to
the name since it suggests that we are all eternal beings of the Universe and beyond, all of us on different paths…
I felt powerfully compelled to offer the first Fair because I was convinced that my own path was not unique. I considered
the possibility that many people may be awakening to higher consciousness. I also considered that, like me, many of them
may not have understanding or support for the changes they were experiencing, and that some, may even be suffering with
little or no relief from related physical symptoms. I considered myself blessed to find the healing community at a time
when their profile in our region was low.
Connecting people to healers and raising awareness for alternative modalities has become
of vital importance to me and I see the Cosmic Pathways Healing Fairs as an ideal vehicle to accomplish this.
The Healing Fairs provide ideal venues for people to observe healers working, to meet and talk with various experts and
therapists, and to even try out a mini-session without making a large investment of money and without being pushed too far
outside of their comfort zone. Our desire to further enrich the Fair experience has also led to the inclusion of free talks,
classes, demonstrations and even shopping opportunities for health and spiritual products. I believe that the Healing Fairs
Cosmic Pathways provides can reach many people and that it is an important part of my life purpose to organize them.
Our mission at Cosmic Pathways is to "Create Healing Connections" and we are currently considering expanding in ways beyond
the Healing Fairs that will help us to accomplish this. A large part of our mandate is also to provide the healing community
with the support it needs to continue growing and providing care for all of us. We are committed to raising awareness and
support for alternative health therapies and healing in our community and we welcome suggestions from you regarding new
directions for to better serve this purpose.
