Mark your calendar and make it smile. Highlight Sunday June 19th 2011 for The Eighth Annual Cosmic Pathways Healing Fair! The Fair will be held at The Glebe Community Centre, 175 Third Avenue, the same beautiful venue as in previous years, from 10am to 5pm. (Ample free street parking is available in the Ottawa Glebe).

This non-profit Fair has so much to offer to the Ottawa Community and I am thrilled and honoured to be part of the planning committee this year. Karen Osborne, Executive Director of the ever growing event will once again present the Ottawa community with many opportunities to experience a wide variety of unique healing modalities, alternative health care practitioners, and a wide spectrum of the healing arts.

I am certainly looking forward to this event and have been a visitor for many years now. What strikes me most about the Fair is that I had the opportunity to experience and try out new modalities and practitioners in a welcoming, informative, safe, and community based setting. My biggest impression was that everyone I met was professional, friendly, courteous and willing to answer any questions I had.

As a visitor you can sample a smorgasbord of healing modalities offered in 20 minute mini-treatments or consultations for only $10 each. Take advantage of this beautiful opportunity to
Sample the Healing Arts and “get a taste of whatever intrigues your pallet”.

You could make it a special day just for YOU. This is what I have done in years past; I treated myself and received nurturing and healing through complimentary health care therapies.
It was a day of pampering my body, mind, and soul, and I look forward to each Fair for weeks in advance. You can invite friends or family members to come along. Enjoy their company and treat yourselves to a fun filled day that encompasses learning and healing on all levels. You are in for a special treat which only comes along once a year.

Some of the healing modalities I have experienced over the past included: Massage Therapy, Crystal Healing, Bowen Therapy, Shamanism, Life Coaching, Therapeutic Touch, Quantum Healing, Zenith Omega, Aromatherapy, Sound Healing, Reiki, and Psychic readings ~ just to name a few.

The Admission fee of only $8 gets you in the door and gives you a chance to observe healers at work on clients. You can also gather hand out materials which most practitioners have on display, may even have a chance to talk to them when they are not working with a client. You will have the opportunity to shop for awesome spiritual and health related products such as body care products, jewellery, crystals, cards and books. Fair Admission also includes an amazing line up of inspirational and informative presentations. This year’s presentations include, Demystifying Mysticism, Understanding the Mayan Code, by Lilly White and Venture on a Rhythmic Sound Journey, a concert performance featuring Native Drums, Gongs & Crystal Bowls by Jody Marsolais.

Last but not least I do remember “The Pantry” Vegetarian Tea Room. I am gluten and dairy intolerant individual and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered a selection of yummy tasting, organic foods I could enjoy. I am thankful for their consideration and I will be back to enjoy their delicious, and healthy light meals and refreshments.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Karen Osborne for holding on to her vision and bringing it into this reality. I know personally that she made a difference in peoples lives and I am grateful to see that the Ottawa community is stepping up to the plate. All the wonderful practitioners who donate their time and energy, the hard working volunteers and everyone who is involved ~ thank you so much for keeping this vision alive, going and growing. We all can make a difference in this world one step at a time, promoting healing and raising awareness and consciousness for the greater good of all.
